My name is Stephen. I’m an addict. I can’t do anything anymore without logging on to the internet and sharing it with one of my social networks. It’s invading my life.
But I’m not alone. Go to a gig, visit a tourist attraction, head to a gallery, or go for a walk in the park, and you’ll spot folk not enjoying the experience directly, but snapping images to share online or Tweet.
Last time I caught up with Phil Sheldrake he made the point that in time we’ll have a network for every aspect of our life, much like there are retail outlets and magazines that cover all areas of human interest.
Many of us have already reached this point. Maybe its time to log off and engage and enjoy real life a bit more.

Thanks for sharing Stephen, you know, admitting you have a problem is the first step. Makes my serial killing tendencies pale into comparison
Too true…..am off on hols minus the blackberry though this week and having a total break from all things online….wonder how long I last….
