Fleet Street in London was home of the UK media until it headed east to Canary Wharf and Wapping in the 1980s.
Agence France Presse (AFP) and D.C. Thomson & Co are all that remain. D.C. Thomson is headquartered in Dundee and is best known for publishing The Beano and The Dandy.

Fleet Street has been about mini markets, bad bars and private banks for a long time – journalism faded 20 years ago. A sad day to see it so down-at-heel though. Mind you, it was never the same since one of my rellies founded The Dandy – then the red-tops turned into comics and then they abandoned the street.
Just shows how content is king and The Beano survived due to superior content
