Frock-on for PR Prom

Have you sorted out your ticket and frock yet for Thursday evening, 23 February?

That’s the date of the PR Prom fundraiser for Bright One, the volunteer run agency for the third-sector. The evening kicks off at 7pm at Shoreditch Town Hall, EC1.

It’s billed as the antidote to industry awards dinners; an opportunity to dress up and get together with mates in the industry without the chicken dinner or polite small talk when your competitors walk off with the gongs that we know were rightfully yours.

Tickets cost £25 and thanks to the line-up of sponsors include music, food and drink. Up to 400 people are expected, and tickets are selling fast.

Bright One is a cracking organisation that has delivered 10,000 volunteer hours of communications expertise, worth £1,500,000, to 40 charitable organisations over the last three years. It operates on minuscule overheads of £5,000 per year relative to work it delivers and has supported charities including Centrepoint, Choir With No Name, Future Dreams, Learn As One, and St Dunstan’s.

You can’t go? Shame on you, please consider making a donation direct to Bright One. Here’s what your donation means for the small charities that it supports. Otherwise see you on Thursday evening.

Thanks so much Stephen, we’re very excited about the big night! We’ve just put up a blog post about how your PR Prom ticket supports small charities, which is worth a read if anyone’s undecided. See you Thursday!
